That sounds like a good idea. But I would think that you should look beyond realtors. Drive around and look for people selling the houses by themselves. If you’re offering 20% below, then if you cut the realtors 5-8%, then you’d be closer to an amount that would be good for the both of you.

Thanks. Did some research, and found a site. www.forsalebyowner.com. It’s just what you said, but I don’t have to go driving around. I’m confident that I’ll get something here. Thanks for your 2 cents.

No problem. I don’t think that I did anything. I never even knew that there were sites like this. I’ll check it out myself.

I'll sell you mine near Chardon, OH. It may not be 20% below rate, but it is below based on comps. Excellent Chardon, OH Home - $246,900. Here is another great FSBO site, as well. www.HomesByOwner.com/17434

hi Giolitto, forsalebyowner.com is a really popular site. Although I go around gaining insight on residential property from various people even outside of the US I'd always considered seeking the help of the best professionals fundamental to "safe" risk-taking (is there such thing as that? lol) when buying a house. I've got a tiny list of reputable realtors here that you can turn to: http://www.globalpropertyguide.com/servicepage.php?id=205&cid=na&category=1 if anything, I hope this helps! ysabelle
