DALLAS (AP) - A man shot twice by Fort Worth police has filed a civil rights lawsuit against several officers and the city, alleging an officer shot him in the back without cause and several other officers colluded to cover up what he says are flaws in the shooting In December 2015, officers responded to a report that Jeremi Rainwater had shot a car belonging to his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriendOfficers went to his home to question him As the officers were surrounding his home, Rainwater said he went outside with a pistol because his dogs were barkingHe alleges in the lawsuit that the officer shot him as he was going back inside and before the police identified themselves A Fort Worth police spokesman said he couldn't comment on open lawsuits
