SPRINGFIELD, Mo-- Complaints from family members of veterans living at the StLouis Veterans Home came to light in July 2017 Governor Greitens then asked the Missouri Veterans Commission, which helps run the homes, to investigate They came back with no evidence of misconduct But the complaints continued, so Governor Greitens had the site investigated more, and finally serious issues came to lightAfter the issues were found, Governor Greitens launched the audit into all of the Missouri Veterans homes, including the ones in Mount Vernon and Warrensburg He also replaced all five of the Missouri Veterans Commissioners and appointed new people. "When the governor's office reached out and asked if I would have an interest, I was thrilled." said DrJohn Buckner, of Cox Hospital in Springfield, who was recently appointed to the Missouri Veterans Commission. "I said when can I start, I'm ready to go." said DrJose Dominguez, of Cox Hospital, who was also appointed. Springfield Doctors John Buckner and Jose Dominguez are said they are ready to do some good.
