MADISON, Wis(WHBL-WRN) - Just under four-thousand existing homes were sold across Wisconsin last month.  January is typically the slowest month of the year for the Wisconsin Realtors Association, but the group reports home sales rose by 2.8 percent compared to January of 2017The median price for a home sold in the state last month was $168,500That's up 6.8 percent from a year agoThe state Realtors Association credits the rapid price growth to high demand, a strong economy and a continued tight inventory - which impacted Wisconsin's housing market through all of last year.
