Lately, real estate is trading rather briskly in the confines of Hell SquareAt least four area buildings sold since last summerTime to add another onto the heap. Word crossed our desk this week that 175 Ludlow Street, just south of Houston, likewise changed handsResidents there received a notice from the new ownership confirming the transactionIt indicates that seller “175 Ludlow LLC,” which purchased the property in 2013 for $5.33 million, unloaded the five-story walkup to Easton Industrial Affiliates (aka Tco Metals) out of Princeton, New JerseyAs the name suggests, this company is apparently a steel supplier (diversifying its assets?). It’s unclear at the moment how this will affect the tenants living at 175 Ludlow or the ground floor restaurant, Taverna di Bocco. Meanwhile, the sale has not yet hit public records.
