Gary Belhumeur was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He lived in Columbus Mississippi for most of his childhood and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1975, Gary entered the United States Air Force as an Aerial Combat Photographer. During his career, he traveled extensively, filming fast-breaking military events for the national news media. He was awarded numerous military decorations and awards for his actions. While in the military, Gary continued his education and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with special emphasis in Advertising and Marketing. He came to Colorado in 1986 as Branch Chief, Instructor and Curriculum Developer at the Air Force's Television Production School at Lowry AFB, Colorado. After 14 years distinguished service, Gary was medically discharged due to combat injuries and awarded Disabled Veteran status. After several years at Update Productions as the Television Production Manager, Gary decided to start a career in Real Estate. Gary is very active in the community and has served as the President of the Arbor Estates Homeowners Association for 6 years and also served on the Board of Directors for the Lake Arbor Master Homeowners Association for 4 years. He created two Neighborhood Watch groups and initiated an Operation ID program in his neighborhood. Each year since 1996, Cindy and Gary have sponsored the Lake Arbor neighborhood garage sale with approximately 80-120 homes participating each year. They periodically conduct charity events in their neighborhoods such as Food & Coat Drives for the needy and assistance with the Marine’s Toys for Tots program. Since much of their income is derived from these neighborhoods, the Belhumeur's believe in giving something back to their community and church.
