Resident claims town has regressive real estate tax (The New Canaan News)

A New Canaan real estate broker is claiming that because of an unfair appraisal process, the larger a home is, the less it pays in real estate taxes. Town Assessor Sebastian Caldarella and Finance Department Director Gary Conrad said the data he is using to make that claim is invalid.
