Freddie Mac: Mortgage rates tick up (BizJournals)


Mortgage rates continued their upward tick. Freddie Mac said Thursday that the 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage averaged 5.29 percent for the week ended Aug. 13, up from last week’s 5.22 percent. However, rates are still down from last year, when the average was 6.52 percent.
