OMAHA, Neb., (WOWT) – A real estate agent who ran down and killed a man last January entered a plea of no contest to manslaughter charges Monday afternoon. Dirk Blume is accused of killing Seth Hansen on January 7th at a convenience store near 138th and Maple Investigators said that 40-year-old Seth Hansen was closing up around 12:30 a.mwhen he was approached by somebody in a truckAfter some sort of discussion or argument, Hansen moved in front of the truck and the vehicle accelerated then hit him. Hansen fell to the ground and hit his head on the concreteAn autopsy revealed that he died of blunt force trauma. Blume, 45, an Omaha real estate agent, was taken into custody about a week after Hansen died and charged with second degree murder in his death. Monday, in District Judge Peter Bataillon’s courtroom, Blume pleaded no contest to manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony. His sentencing is set for December 11th at 1:30 p.min Courtroom 413.
